Free Stamp set From Stampin' Up!

During Sale-A-Bration with Stampin' Up! you can earn free products and this Lotus Blossom stamp set is one of these.  Here is what I have made so far.

These are all for mother dear.  I used last years SAB designer series paper for this set and also made a box to hold all the cards.  To add that extra special touch I used the Envelope Liner die and added liners to the envelopes too.

Just having fun and my mum will love them.  Hope this weekend is kind and full of fun.  Take care of you.

Flowers, Flowers and Even More Flowers

Nothing says Stampin' Up! to me more than flowers and decorating.  This week has all been about making flowers, flower cards and decorating with flowers.  Here goes......

I started by making this card using previous DSP paper from Stampin' Up! and the Spiral Flower a Die and made this card for my mum's birthday in April.

Then I made a box for the card as clearly with all these embellishments an ordinary card was never going to do.  Clearly I hadn't used enough flowers on the card so the box got even more  lol.  Along with the Spiral Flower die I used Flower shop and the coordinating punch.  I snipped off some petals, rolled these and layered them to create the flowers.

Next I made this card using a set from Stampin' Up! I simply love, Flower Patch.  I love how you can also buy coordinating dies or punches, it makes creating really easy. I used a white Signo pen to create the faux stitching.

This is the inside.

As I was playing with the Spiral Flower Die I experimented with stamping onto the card first and I love how these flowers have turned out.  I add leaves from the Bird Builder punch and used the wing as a leaf also.

Then I went for an antique effect so I distressed the roses by flattening them and used a bone folder to help break down the fibres and help the leaves curl.  I then inked around the edges and scraped the edges of the box with my nail just to get the effect of looking old.  I also used pearls from my stash inside the roses.  This leaf is a punch I have and again i scrunched it up a bit to age it and using a tool I created veining for my leaves.

This is the card that started my week long flower fest, I made this for Mother's Day.  You can see more pics in the previous post.

I hope you are all having a great week.  I'm back studying again so my blogs may be few and far between over the next month as I begin my next essay.  Take care of you.

Mother's Day and Stampin' Up!

HI have been so busy thinking about making Eaśter baskets I completely forgot all about Mother's Day.  It's just as well it's a few weeks off lol.

So I made my mother dearest this card using all my Stampin' Up! goodies.  Stampin' Up! have the most amazing staples which I go to time and time again to create truly beautiful cards.

Here it is....

I have used the retired Woodgrain stamp onto Crumb Cake card.  The flowers are Mixed Bunch and Petite a Petals with co-ordinating punches, and the butterflies are Papillion Potpourri and go-ordinating punches.

I will likely add my personal greeting here.

Lots of fun, keeping busy as from Monday its back to studying, so better enjoy it while it lasts.

Hope you have all had a wonderful day.  Take care of you.

Easter Baskets Stampin' Up! Style

Happy Valentine's Day everyone.  Hope you all relieved something special.

Despite it being Valentine's Day I have been busy making Easter baskets for my friend to give to her two favourite peeps.

I used the basket die from Stampin' Up! and stamped and cut out these lambs from the Storybook Friends set.  I then used my Sizzix EClips machine to cut out the bunny, carrots and words 'Egg Hunt'.  I then used my SU Stampin' Write markers to colour the nose, feet and heart on the bunny and then the carrot too.

The grass was cut using the EClips and the flowers using SU punches then I added black gems to the centres to create depth and dimension.  I also added the pompom trim in coral.  The butterflies were stamped and punched out then adhered to some clear plastic so it looks like they are hovering over the basket.

Inside you will see a mini card I made so my friend can write a few words of love.

I used the Bow Builder punch to make the tag and the card in front is from my Project Life stash.  I used my Cinch to punch the holes then snipped the top to create a notepaper effect.

Inside is a mini card.  The gem inside the flower is from my huge stash of crafty things lol.

Here is the basket for the wee guy in her life.

I stamped my card with the stamp first to creat a wood effect before running it through my Sizzix BigShot to make the basket.  The eggs have been cut out using the EClips.

I used a mini brad to attach this handle and added a co-ordinating Cany Dot for effect.  I used my EClips to cut out mini eggs for the handle.  I love the dimension of the bunny, so cute.

Here is the envelope holder for this basket.

And the mini card inside.

So much fun.  Inside the basket are a few non edible treats right now but I will be adding a few chocolate ones before I give them to my friend.  I hope you all have a great weekend.  Take care of you.

Valentine Cards

It's almost Valentine's Day again so I have been making cards.  I always think buying a card for the man in your life harder, either they are too girly or too mushy.  So with this in mind I have made some just for the men, but first some pink.

I added faux stitching after I took the photo, see above.

These cards have been cased from Pinterest, don't we love this site?  And of course all my envelopes get a special treatment too.

Take care of you.

Valentine Treats

Well hello all, seems like ages since I blogged, work is busy as I'm sure many of you can empathise with.

Valentine's day is just around the corner and yesterday my treats finally arrived so I got to making some treat bags.

The cello bags have 10 jelly hearts and to jazz up a few I added a Hello Kitty dangle and a white wooden peg and a bit of bling for the heart.

Lots of fun.

Hope your weekend has been fun and kind.  Take care of you.
